Bronze

Bronze (the biring Persian, meaning copper) is the name with which is called a range of alloys which are based on copper, lead alloy of tin and proportions other variable elements such as zinc, aluminum, antimony, nickel, phosphorus, lead, among others, in order to obtain characteristics superior to those of copper.
Tin has the characteristic of increasing the strength and hardness of copper without changing its ductility.
The manufacturing process consists in mixing a mineral copper (chalcopyrite, malachite or other) with tin (tin) in a furnace supplied with carbon (charcoal or coke). The carbon dioxide reduces the minerals to metals, copper and tin melt and bind the percentage of tin from 2 to 11%.
